The Regiment has been honoured with the naming of a Virgin Trains Class 91 locomotive to mark our 50th anniversary.

“The Fusiliers” train was unveiled at London Kings Cross station in a special naming ceremony held in honour of the Regiment.   The unveiling was done by  Managing Director of Virgin Trains East Coast, Mr David Horne and the Colonel,  Major General Paul Nanson.

Morning commuters were greeted with the Band of The Royal Regiment of Fusiliers, who played during the service on platform one and this British Forces TV clip will give you a feel of the ceremony and the trip up North.
