Northumbria ACF Fusilier cadets recently visited to Cyprus for a 10 day exercise.  RHQ contributed to the costs so that they could do some research on the conflict.  They also visited Wayne’s Keep and the military cemetery.

Have a look at the video clip below.  The  first part covers the cadets visiting Nicosia airport and the last part shows their visit to the cemetery, including a piece about two of the Royal Warwickshire Regiment soldiers killed in the EOKA campaign.

And of course, many ex Third Fusiliers will remember their peace keeping role in Cyprus during the 1974 invasion.
