1st Fusiliers have just returned from a multi-national Brigade level exercise to demonstrate our commitment to Estonia.  It turned out to be an interoperability challenge that was hard to beat.

The Battalion finished the exercise with four companies from four different nations, fighting within a 200 metre square to clear Uebungsdorf, a substantial and complicated training village.  Leading by example, at one point the CO and RSM led an assault onto a T72 and BMP.

I congratulate the Battalion.   Pulling together a multi-national Battle Group and then defeating a professional Operational Force is a significant achievement. I’m pretty sure that is only the second time it has happened in recent history.  Well done to 1st Fusiliers.
