Celebrating the Lorne Scots Regiment 150th Anniversary – and ideas
Published: October 6th, 2016
I was delighted to be able to accompany our Colonel in Chief to Canada to attend the 150th anniversary of the Lorne Scots. Our links with this famous Regiment are traced through the Lancashire Fusiliers and an attachment made during the First World War.
It was a magnificent weekend with the focus being on a Trooping of the Colour Parade and Gala Dinner. The Regiment was genuinely touched that so many Fusiliers had made the effort to be with them for this special event. My thanks to all those who attended, especially Steve Fitt who carried our standard.
I returned with plenty of ideas as to how we might celebrate our own birthday in 2018.
“I welcome feedback from anyone in the Fusilier family. Whether it’s your experience at the sharp end, ideas for the Regiment or issues you don’t feel are being sorted, let me know at [email protected] “
